PhilSec Systems started trading in January 2000 as an approved VAR (Value Added Reseller) of the Philips Communication & Security Division (Now Bosch Security Systems) range of products in the Western Cape (South Africa). 
We now also supply other brand name products to enable us to provide a total solution for any Communication or Security systems requirement

PhilSec Systems is registered,as required by South African Law, with the Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority to supply and install Security Products

Dave Vaughan, Managing Member of PhilSec Systems, has over 30 years experience in the Communication and Security Industry in Technical, Project Management and Sales levels.
Initial training was by the SA Post Office (Now Telkom) after which he worked for a couple of small specialized electronic equipment suppliers doing design, installation and servicing of Communication and Security Systems and equipment.
In 1979 he joined Philips South Africa to install and service the newly emerging electronic communication systems. Security in the form of CCTV and Access Control soon also formed a part of his product portfolio. It was during this time that he moved from a fully technical position to a sales position.
His last position was as Sales Manager for the Philips Projects Group in Cape Town until it was sold off during Philips International rationalization of its operating groups in 1999
